Ontology Mapping

Ontology mapping (also known as ontology alignment, semantic matching) is the process of mapping one ontology onto one or more others, where each node is mapped to all the other nodes that are semantically equal (equal by meaning).

tree-merge.com is a web based tool that allows you to:

  • 1. Import category systems  (tree based taxonomies/ontologies) in the form of JSON files.
  • 2. Map them using the visual user interface.
  • 3. Export a single unified ontology that can then be used in other systems or user interfaces to provide a unified interface to many separate databases.
